The products arrived well packaged and the hooks are attractive in a traditional style, as illustrated online. In practical terms the hooks are versatile in being able to accommodate clothes with hanging loops, as well as towels, gowns etc. that can be suspended without damage due to the deliberately blunt design of the tops. My two concerns regarding design are: 1. The sturdy double hooks are both attached to the backplate by just one small cross-headed bolt. There are also two positioning lugs but the strength of the hooks/backplate connection depends mostly on the one small bolt. 2. The fixing screws supplied are (in my opinion) too thin, as the holes in the backplate are significantly wider than these screw threads. This also detracts from ease of installation, as only a small screwdriver head can be used, so quite precise and full-depth pre-drilling is needed for hardwood doors (or presumably hard wall surfaces). That said, I may well buy some more due to the practical and attractive appearance, in the hope that the three in use prove strong enough!

Very good on all counts. This is a common design but quality differs greatly, from supplier to supplier. I'm really pleased with the ones I got from Hiatt Hardware.
Although they are probably more commonly used as curtain tieback hooks, we used them for clothes hooks, along one wall. (For hanging worn clothes, not yet ready for the wash).
These suited our room design perfectly.

I sent this back and asked for a refund because the oak board looked very inferior. It was sort of yellow with a gaudy wood grain on it, and did not look at all like the other oak items I have in my flat. It almost looked like plastic imitating wood. I didn't like the look of the antique brass either. In replacement I bought a different hat and coat rack from Hiatt, chrome on a white board.
